I am so excited about moving into the new year, getting a fresh start and moving into a new season of my life. But before we move to 2020 we need to make sure we close out 2019 with a bang! I’m not sure of any of your plans but I know some of us still don’t know what we are doing for sure. And while some have had their outfit for months, there’s some who have barely had time to get Christmas gifts. This article is for you! I’ll be breaking down my NYE look and giving you tips on creating one of your own with things you may already have in your closet.
First, I got this metallic blue cross body dress from Zara for $50. I love the color and metallic look because I feel like a big ornament that belongs on a Christmas tree! It’s not super shiny with sparkles but it still gives this special shine when you see it. Link to dress here.
I pulled this fur right out of my closet. I’ve had it since last year and I actually bought this when I was testing products for my boutique. I can’t tell you exactly where to get it but I can link a few alternatives here. And here.
I grabbed these shoes and bag right out of my closet as well. These shoes I got from my shoe spot but it’s a pretty basic shoe you can probably find it or something similar anywhere. I’ll link a pair here. And this small, sparkly bag I already had but I got it from H&M for $15. You can purchase it here.
There’s so many things that you already have in your closet that could easily be used to create your New Year’s Eve look. Here are a few tips below!
Start with something sparkly, maybe a shirt or pants or a shoe, it automatically makes it look New Yearsy.
Pair something with a long skirt. The long skirts have been popular for a while I’m sure you have one from summer time that you can put with a cute top or blazer.
Wear a really cool suit that you have in your closet but don’t wear often. A suit automatically looks dressed up if you put a cute heel on and no one would even know it’s your work outfit.
Just buy a cute, cheap dress. It’s last minute, it’s one night. Nobody is really going to care and you always have next year to plan haha. Another option is to just wear a dress you already own… I know I know who likes wearing stuff twice… nobody lol but that might be an option orrrr you could do something like Rent The Runway.
Those are all the tips I have! I hope you guys have a fabulous New Years!
